The USS Einstein (NCC-72879) was a Nebula Class ship in service in the 24th century. The Einstein was one of many Nebula-class starships to be involved in the fight against the Borg invasion of 2377. Captain Howard Rappaport was in command of the Einstein in 2380, when Kathryn Janeway came aboard to investigate a Borg Cube discovered in the Alpha Quadrant The ship would come under attack and be assimilated by the Borg during the course of the investigation.
