The Sniper Spotting Scope is a specialization featured in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and is unlocked after obtaining a total of 17,000 exp with the Recon kit. This specialization automatically spots any enemies viewed through the scope that are within 75 meters (225 feet). The Sniper Spotting Scope, although believably considered an optic, is coupled to the player, not the weapon. This specialization only works on sniper rifles, however.
