The Uniform Code Council, Inc. establishes and promotes multi-industry standards for product identification and related electronic communication, with the goal of enhancing supply chain management. The UCC administers the Universal Product Code (UPC) and provides integrated standards and business solutions for over 260,000 member companies doing business in 23 major industries. Besides a current focus on establishing and promoting B2B supply chain solutions and managing the UPC, UCC manages the global UCC suite of open, industry-supported business standards, and conducts forums, conferences and seminars.
