The Peerage of Taris comprised all extant peerages present on the city-world of Taris, including noble titles from the earliest days of the planet's history. The planet of Taris was founded by a number of explorers and colonists interested in the planet's proximity to certain trade routes. Led by a number of self-proclaimed "noblemen," the planet enjoyed a period of uninterrupted prosperity, during which it earned the moniker, the "Coruscant of the Outer Rim."
