Benny is a Whatnot boy from episode 523 of The Muppet Show. A silent, bespectacled lad, he plays the owner of Gaffer in the production number, "The Cat Came Back." Although Benny does not speak, Of Muppets and Men reveals Jerry Nelson's involvement in the performance of the character.
