Star Wars: Echoes of the Past is a planned trilogy of origin stories for the character Nalrik J'tarr written by Nicolas J. Folsom. The first, "Descent" is a complete and total retcon of Star Wars: Echo in the Force, also by Folsom, as it retells Nalrik's back story completely, explaining why he became Darth Echo. Echoes of the Past - Descent is a "meta-story", told in flashbacks via Flow Walks from Nalrik to his son L'ssek, Vengeance is similarly told to Nalrik's other son, Vedan, and Redemption is told to a Sith ally of Nalrik's who wishes to be redeemed himself.
