The user releases the seal on The Sealing Sword: Medoshiki to unleash whatever energy was sealed within. Every different type of energy is released in different ways. If two different types of energy are stored in the blade their release can be together, which could end in massive explosions of energy, or if they are skilled enough in sealing they can release them separately. To break the seal the user has to slide their index and middle finger of their secondary hand along the blade of the sword while concentrating on unsealing the sword. The sword's sealing is strong enough to re-seal itself, so the user just has to stop unsealing the sword.
