Primordial Spirits (原初の魂, Gensho no Tamashī) are sentient beings of immense power who are foreign to the world of shinobi. It is said that they originate from a dimension that is adjacent to the Pure Lands and the Physical Realm. As their name suggests, these beings are ageless creatures who have existed long before the creation of the shinobi world; and also wield power far greater than any possessed by mankind. Since creation, only two Primordial Spirits have descended upon the world of shinobi.
