The self-proclaimed Hurricane King Kerdak Bonefist heads the Shackles pirate council. He is captain of the man-o'-war Filthy Lucre, flagship of the Shackles fleet. He takes the title of Hurricane King because he is the ruler of Port Peril, the region's largest settlement, and because he commands the most powerful naval force. He would like to wrest control of the free port of Ilizmagorti from the Red Mantis, but so far he has been unable to get the other captains to agree to support such a bold venture.
