The Regency was a hotel in Istanbul, Turkey. The hotel was one of several that Indiana Jones visited in 1941 in the hopes of picking up the trail of missing professor Basil Smith. When Jones arrived he found that he had been booked into room 42. There, he was attacked by two Turks and fended them off only to discover that the pair had been hired by Smith's son Raymond so that the man could stage a rescue in the hopes that a grateful Jones would assist him and his sister Elizabeth.
