Grumpf was a fire-breathing dragon adopted by Timid Smurf (also known in the cartoon show as Actor Smurf). He found him in a cave after running away sad because all of the other Smurfs had a pet except for him. You can always find Grumpf making messes in the village, due to his clumsiness.
