Lorga was Trianna's familiar and protector. He was a golden replica of a serpent with large ruby eyes, whom Trianna brought to life through magic by blowing upon him, and saying "Sé orúm thornessa hávr sharjalví lífs," which means, "May this serpent have life's movement". Trianna used it as she tried to woo Eragon in his room under Farthen Dûr. It seemed like he was being hypnotized as he 'felt as if he were tumbling into (the eyes) fiery depths; he could not look away no matter how hard he tried'.
