The Templar Honor Guard were an elite caste of Templars ranging from Gurei Deshi to Gurei Shishou. In addition to their standard duty as Templars of Twilight the Honor Guards served as guards of the Council Members and current and former Kages. All members in the honor guard are trained in the basics of Shield and Saber, and given a Honor Guard Shield. Honor Guards wore Ceremonial Honor when guarding council members and Kages on diplomatic missions and during special events. During normal situations or combat they wore a more traditional combat armor made of armored robes and cloaks.
