The Fortress Shield is an enchanted large shield +3 with an Armor Class bonus of 4 and a -7 Armor Class bonus vs. missiles (+6 bonus, +1 standard from large shields). This shield is superior in every way when compared to the Shield of the Falling Stars, which offers a -2 basic AC bonus and a -5 AC bonus against missiles.
