When information was leaked to the Jedi Order that the Sith were gathering to attack Lyran IV, the Jedi knew they would have to repel the Sith, if the Sith were able to decimate the planet as they had others, the Jedi would lose a large amount of trust and respect that the Galaxy gave them. The Grand Master, Abba, and Vikro and Asil Leikane, travelled to the planet, and gathered together a large amount of the local population - mainly smugglers and pirates - planning how to convincingly defeat the Sith.
