Thwomp Desert is a battle course that takes place in a large circular shaped desert. In the middle of it is a huge Thwomp who goes down every once in a while. When it goes down, it makes waves of sand that you can do tricks on. On the edges of the course there are spiky plants that if you hit, you lose balloons/coins. There are also Thwomps buried in the desert that you can do tricks off. If you go under the Thwomp, you will lose coins/balloons and Lakitu will put you back on the course.
