Kobuta was a bandit leader, with Moto origins. He used a Scimitar as main weapon. In 1165 his gang came to the village of Juujiro Mura, Crossroads Village, to ask the villagers tribute they would not afford. Two other villages had been already razed when they could not pay the quantity they would ask. They found the unexpected defence of seven samurai aided by the villagers. Kouta attacked and killed one of the samurai, Matsu Masutaro, but dying him as well.
