The origins of the substance are shrouded in mystery; the original concept of Random Kingdom II claims that the substance was found inside a meteor already present on Eden when humans colonized the planet. According to the February 2013 Revision, Kurnikovarium was found to be present on the planet, but unresponsive. A team of scientists undertook a project to investigate the sphere, which was found to be responsive to brainwaves. There were six of these scientists (Elena/Angela, Maleficent, Verde, Tormatha, Jaffar and Nazeera)
