The Voyage to Avalon is a work of Faerie Lore written by Marina of Jerbiton, who famously served as envoy of the Order of Hermes, appointed by the Grand Tribunal, to a powerful Faerie court in the early tenth century. The portrait painted therein of the fae is nevertheless not especially flattering; the book was written many years after the appointment had ended.
