Knuckles and Porker Lewis took refuge in The Purple Mush Room after escaping from some police officers who had recognized Porker as "Oscar the Pig". Inside, Porker was recognized as Oscar by Hammerhead, who brutally attacked Knuckles. The other patrons of the bar quickly fled. Before Hammerhead could attack Porker, he was interrupted by Espio the Chameleon and Mighty the Armadillo. Although Hammerhead managed to defeat both of them, by this time, Knuckles had recovered, and managed to knock out Hammerhead with a single punch. Just then, Lieutenant Furor arrived with a group of police officers, and everyone in the bar (Hammerhead, Porker, Knuckles, Mighty and Espio) were taken in for questioning.
