Ten years after Emergence Day, Estana was attacked by the Locust in late Reap, slaughtering everyone who still lived in the city. They set the city on fire, and it continued to burn for two days after the attack. The attack caused the Coalition of Ordered Governments to begin blocking sewers that led out of Estana and deeper into the Jacinto Plateau in an effort to halt the Locust advance.
