Karpchev is a moon of Anothelis orbiying between the world and Asatun. Unlike its sister Karpchev has no atmosphere and is thus uninhabitable. However, there is still a Templar presence on the moon. The moon has a high concentration of Plutonium, particularly Pu-239, the discovery of this has lead to the Templars using a high amount of fusion reactors, and nuclear fusion based weapons such as the NOVA mine and Neutron Cannon. The planet had a small amount of underground crystal caves, which ran in a large network of caves and tunnels that were discovered during one of the first mining operations on the planet. Few of these caves produce lightsaber caliber crystals but it is still the primary source of crystals for the Templars outside of Gehenna.
