Weng-Chiang was the ancient Chinese god of abundance, having the power to make things grow. He was apparently an evil being, said to have breathed poisonous fumes from his mouth and kill men with light from his eyes. (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang) He was an ethnic corruption of Sung-Chiang, the god of thieves and criminals. (PROSE: The Shadow of Weng-Chiang) The Tong of the Black Scorpion was a fanatical cult convinced that he would return one day and rule the world.
