For members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or Mormon Church, sacrifice is an essential aspect of living a godly life and following the example of the Savior, Jesus Christ. He sacrificed everything, including His own life, to bring about the salvation of every person. When Latter-day Saints discuss sacrifice, they may be referring either to the matchless, eternal Sacrifice of Jesus, his atonement, or to the smaller sacrifices made by followers of Christ.
