Ari Afrizal (1983 - ) is a young Indonesian man who was constructing a home in Indonesia on December 26 2004 when the 2004 Indian ocean tsunami struck. Ari held onto a log and was swept out to sea. After 24 hours he moved to some other debris and remained there for 2 weeks. For 11 of those days Ari had a few coconuts to feed off of though once they were used up he began to starve. Ari drifted for 3 more days before he was rescued by a boat and brought back to the mainland.
