In Thief of Fate, the Old Man sends the characters to fight Brilhasti ap Tarj and find the legendary heroes. He can be found in the Review Board in the ruins of Skara Brae. As the Review Board elders are dead, he reviews the characters now and sells them spells. This includes Chronomancer spells. He also sends the hero Hawkslayer on his quest. After the characters return from Tarmitia, they find him mortally wounded. With his dying breath, he sends the characters on their last quest.
