The Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies was established in April 2005 as a partnership between the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and the Pew Charitable Trusts. The project's mission is to, among other things, collaborate with researchers, government, industry, and others to identify gaps in knowledge and regulatory processes, develop strategies for closing them, and provide independent, objective knowledge and analysis related to the development and commercialization of nanotechnologies.
