The Warspite was ordered in September directly by President Ishan Anjar to arrest the rogue Doctor Julian Bashir. Bashir, who had been classed as a traitor, was attempting to find refugee status on Andor and deliver a cure to the Andorian reproductive crisis made from the top secret and highly dangeorous Shedai Meta-genome. The ship caught up with Bashir in orbit of Andor, where the Warspite would shoot down a civilian transport carrying Bashir, engage in a conflict with Andorian Imperial Guard vessels, perform an electronic warfare act against Andor (Operation Bright Sword), combat the USS Aventine to capture Bashir and land special forces teams on Andor's South Pole.
