John Norman was a traveling supplier whom Roland met during the events of The Little Sisters of Eluria. John and his family hail from Delain, the setting of The Eyes of the Dragon. John and his group got ambushed by the Green Folk upon their arrival in Eluria, and later taken by the Little Sisters. He was the bed next to Roland's and the two pretended to be brothers. Due to his pendant, the Little Sisters could not touch him so they got Ralph, the leader of the Green Folk, to get it off him. Instead, Ralph rips open John's neck, spilling his blood (as to distract the sisters).
