A professional actor since the age of nine, Wood is best known for the role of Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, which he briefly reprised in The Hobbit films. Elijah Wood is the youngest member of the Lord of the Rings main cast. Interestingly, his character Frodo, was chronologically the oldest of the four hobbits in the Fellowship. However, this could be attributed to the One Ring's ability to arrest age as it did for Bilbo.
