Captain Toad takes out a Super Pick-Axe and starts swinging it up and down as he moves forwards; the pick-axe is quite large for Toad, making it a sizable attack. Captain Toad has Super Armor frames during this attack; he cannot use his mid-air jump while the attack is activated. Hold down the button to keep the pick-axe out and continue using the move and release to end the move. The pick-axe is also good at breaking shields, dealing quite a bit of shield damage.
