Gannik was a male Klingon in the 24th century, head of the House of Gannik. Gannik and his House suffered a financial blow when Turok, a ship building company Gannik had invested heavily in at the urging of his colleague L'Kor, failed. Gannik swore revenge on L'Kor, but weeks later, L'Kor was presumed killed in the Romulan attack on Khitomer. In the years that followed, Gannik pursued rumors that there were survivors of the Khitomer Massacre, telling his eldest son, Gorrik, that all the survivors, not just L'Kor, needed to be found.
