Newal Palmer appeared as a Taxi Driver in Coronation Street in May 1961. No other known roles are credited to him. Under the name of Newell Palmer, he was also a theatrical designer and worked with Arthur Leslie in a production of his play Welcome Little Stranger for the Jack Rose Repertory Players in Blackpool in 1957.
