The Seventeen-Month Lunar Calendar is a very simple pure lunar calendar in which all lunar years have 17 months. The odd-numbered months have 30 days and the even number months have 29 days, except in a leap year when the eighth month has 30 days. A leap year occurs simply once every 50 lunar years (850 months). The mean month is exactly the same as for the Yerm Lunar Calendar.
