The Prophecies of the Salesman were a set of old Jawa prophecies, which dated back almost as far back as the start of Jawa civilization. In Jawaese, they translated to as Pruiayy Wyaaddniaa, with 'Pruiayy' being 'prophecies' and 'Wyaaddniaa' being a person who sells things in Jawa language, with 'salesman' being the closest equivalent in basic. They predicted the rise of a Jawa who would sell large quantities of ware and would make Jawa society more significant. A few hundred years before the Battle of Yavin, such a Jawa was seemingly found—Gasrany Kiebel, a Jawa who met the criteria described in the Prophecies.
