Mortal for an Hour is a short play for children by L. Frank Baum. It was first staged in Macatawa Park, Michigan in 1908, in a benefit performance for the Fresh Air Fund. The play was printed under the alternative title The Fairy Prince in the December 1908 issue of Entertaining, and was reprinted, under another alternative title, Prince Marvel, in L. Frank Baum's Juvenile Speaker in 1910. The play adapts the story of Prince Marvel from Baum's novel The Enchanted Island of Yew.
