Body Clears Mind was a Monkey Clan kata, similar to the ritualized mind-focusing Watchful Falcon employed by the Crane Clan, developed by Toku Mokoto. The kata told the mind that the body was busy elsewhere, and so the mind could devote its resources to the senses. The downside of this focused state of mind was that it made the performer much slower to act.
