Jenny Platt (born 10th July 1979 in Ipswich) appeared on Coronation Street between October 2004 and February 2008 as Rovers' barmaid Violet Wilson. After a gap of just over three years, she resumed the role for a single episode in April 2011. Jenny trained at the East 15 Acting School and prior to her Street role, made her acting debut in the 1988 film The Raggedy Rawney. She also made appearances in The Bill, Family Business, Where the Heart Is, Foyle's War and has since gone on to appear in Casualty, In with the Flynns, Doctors, Scott & Bailey and Mapp & Lucia.
