The Vaigai were a shape-shifting species who originated on the planet Vaig sometime during the Rise of the Empire era. After hundreds of years of peace between their Rise of the Empire era and the Unity era, the Sith Lord Durz came and ended that peace when he decided to enslave their entire race. But they fought back and the resulting conflict claimed the lives of many. After the war ended, their supposedly dead leader, Sadious, who was a Sith, used his Force abilities to destroy the whole planet, along with all the Vaigai.
