Poppi was a female ("somewhat smaller") fenling, who was mated to Tupik. She has an obsession with tidiness, including wiping up the dripping water off Silk's/Belgarath's/Garion's cloaks. Poppi gained the ability to talk in the Castle of Wizardry at the behest of Vordai; her first word was "mother". She turned up again in Guardians of the West as a bit of an obstinate fenling with full command over language.
