Minntooine was a remote waterworld in the Outer Rim Territories that was ruled by a Commerce Guild-controlled junta. Many Quarren Separatists fled to the planet after their defeat on Dac during the Clone Wars. These Quarren established a Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps shipyard where they worked with Techno Union foremen to build Recusant-class Light Destroyers, most notably the Patriot Fist.
