The Battle of Ulgethon, also known as The Liberation by the inhabitants of Ulgethon, was a planetary engagement fought between Sangheili-led forces and a Covenant splinter faction on November 20, 2552. On December 12, Sangheili forces led by Garr 'Alakavai arrived in the midst of the ongoing battle, taking the Jiralhanae by surprise.
