Dragonscale is a unique Zakarum Shield, a shield from Diablo II: Lord of Destruction exclusive only to the Paladin. With neither the obvious offensive or defensive bonuses of Alma Negra and Herald of Zakarum respectively, Dragonscale instead has a very particular affinity for Fire. With its increased boost to Fire Skills, Dragonscale, along with the Giant Sword, Kinemil's Awl, are obviously intended for Paladins who specialize in the aura Holy Fire, since it is the only Fire Skill that Paladins naturally learn.
