The game is based on Guitar Hero: World Tour, with support for lead bass, guitar, drums and vocals, the only difference is that you can chose up to make a band (with created rockers or characters from the series) this does not requiers to play with other players. The game features songs from different Heavy Metal bands, such as Megadeth, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Opeth, Deathstars, Marilyn Manson, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Type O Negative, Lacuna Coil, Shadows Fall and many others.
