Following the murder of Julianus I in the Roman Forum in front of the Senate House, the Empire was in absolute turmoil. The British Isles were being steadily conquered by rogue Legions, who'd already taken Londinium and set up a military dictatorship, and now the Senators had declared a New Republic, calling it the Second Roman Republic. In their plot however they missed out one important thing, the emperor's family. The Emperor's sixth son, Sextus Pellatius Flaminius managed to flee with his wife and much of the court to the city of Constantinopolis.
