So far, Green Star Coins have only appeared in New Super Mario Bros. VR. Similar to Green Stars in Super Mario Galaxy 2, there are three in each level. After Mario collects every normal Star Coin in every level, includes World 9 and 10, Green Star Coins will be available. If the player collects all the Green Star Coins, the final level of World 10 is unlocked.
