Hommell is a French manufacturer which is first featured in Gran Turismo 4, returning in Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6. It also appeared in Gran Turismo PSP. This brand was founded by, and subsequently named after, Michel Hommell. Hommell himself was a former racing driver and the owner of Échappement, a French car magazine. Production of the Hommell was stopped for financial reasons in 2003. There were also plans for Chinese investors to buy the plans for the Berlinetta Hommell to be produced near Shanghai for the local market, but no agreement has been reached.
