CC stands for carbon copy while BCC stands for blind carbon copy. One uses carbon copy when they want to send a copy of the e-mail to another recipient after the first they fill in the "To" field. A blind carbon copy is very similar, but the recipient of a blind carbon copy will not have information of other recipients. Also, any other recipients will not know that the e-mail was sent to a recipient who is sent a blind carbon copy.
