Oil platforms, a.k.a. oil derricks or oil rigs, are large structures resting on massive pylons that pump oil from oil patches in oceans and lakes. It is not to be confused with the Oil Refinery. Harvested oil is ofted refined into phlogiston. The largest oil fields in the Second War were off the coast of Khaz Modan.
