Anubis is the son of Nephthys and Set, the nephew and adoptive son of Osiris and Isis, the cousin and adoptive brother of Horus, the Egyptian god of funerals and one of the main characters in The Kane Chronicles. Thought the series he appears in areas of death without the need of a host and becomes the love interest of Sadie Kane but due to him being a god, he could not be with her unless he had a human host. In the final book The Serpent's Shadow, he takes Walt Stone as a host so he can be with Sadie and stop Walt from dying from his curse.
